Dr Andreas Ernst

Musculoskeletal & Occupational Medicine
Dr Ernst founded Workfit in 1995 with three other health and safety professionals. He shaped it over the years to its current profile with a strong focus on highly specialised occupational medicine services over a wide spectrum of exposures and health issues.
After qualifying in medicine from the university of Heidelberg Germany in 1993, he became a fellow of the Australasian College of Occupational Medicine in 1991. He completed a postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal medicine in 1996. He became a fellow of the Australasian College of Physicians in 1994. He is certified to practice medicine in Germany, Australia, United States of America and Canada. He has occupational and management experience from employment with and consulting to large corporations such as CRA Australia Ltd, Rio Tinto Aluminium, The Federal Group and Inghams. He has increasing focused on regenerative medicine, particularly non-surgical soft tissue reconstruction with Prolotherapy.

Dr Elizabeth Lord
MBBS, B.Med Sci, FRACGP
Registrar Occupational & Environmental Medicine
Dr Lord is a Stage B Occupational Medicine Registrar, who comes to us with a wealth of experience as a General Practitioner. She has worked in various locations across Australia including, regional Victoria, Darwin and multiple locations across Tasmania encompassing the northwest coast, St Marys and Oatlands.
Elizabeth grew up in Northern Tasmania and completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice and is a medical educator for GP registrars. She is also a qualified journalist and an Independent Director at TasFarmers.
Elizabeth enjoys the interplay between physical and psychological factors in complex workers compensation cases and helping workers return to employment.

Dr Carlin White
MBBS, FRACGP, DCH, MOEH
Registrar Occupational & Environmental Medicine
Dr Carlin White is a Tasmanian native, born and raised in Northern Tasmania. Carlin his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Tasmania before obtaining a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practioners in 2016. While working as a GP Carlin completed a Masters in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Monash University. He went on to undertake further training with Royal Australian College of Physicians, passing his fellowship exams in 2023. Carlin currently practices in Launceston at WorkFitTas, offering fitness for work assessments, legal opinions relating to causality, return to work planning, acute injury management, Department of Veterans’ Affairs assessments, and workplace health surveillance programs. He has specific expertise in lead safety programs, silica health surveillance and musculoskeletal medicine. He has worked across many industrial settings including mining, manufacturing, primary production, meat processing, maritime, road and rail transport, emergency services and delivery/logistics organisations.

Tanya Coombes
Practice Manager
Tanya is a long standing member of the administration team with 20 + years’ experience in business administration, specialising in medico legal report writing and has a genuine care for patients in the workers compensation system.
